If you’re an island-loving foodie, you probably already know that the Cayman Islands have been dubbed the “Caribbean’s Culinary Capital”. You will never run out of places to eat in Grand Cayman, whether you desire casual dining, a meal with a view or a five star dining delight, there really is something for everyone here. The types of food available span everything from traditional Caymanian seafood to Caribbean, farm-to-table, plant based, even Thai and Italian – you name it, we have it and you can bet it’ll be some of the best food you’ve ever enjoyed.
In addition to the over 200 restaurants in Cayman, we are home to food events that are unrivaled, such as the Cayman Cookout in January, the brand new Kaaboo Cayman, which just hosted their wildly successful inaugural event in February, and the Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival in April.
The Cayman Cookout was created by Chef Eric Ripert and “brings together talented chefs, wine and spirit experts, and culinary influencers in one of the most prestigious celebrations of food and wine in the world.”
Kaaboo Cayman “was created by music lovers for music lovers. An adult escape, uniquely curated to appeal to all five of your senses, with world-class music, inspiring contemporary art, hilarious comedy, incredible cuisine, craft libations, and personal indulgences.”
The upcoming Taste of Cayman Food & Drink Festival on April 6, 2019 in Camana Bay is the ultimate foodie festival! “Experience Taste of Cayman, Grand Cayman’s premier food and wine festival. Join with thousands of festival goers and over 45 restaurants, bars and vendors participating in the island’s largest foodie gathering.”
Five Star Charters Dining Options
As Grand Cayman locals who devour the local cuisine scene, we wanted to provide a one-of-a-kind food experience for our guests and that means providing the best of the best during their time with us. That is why we include gourmet hors d’oeuvres and delicious Veuve Clicquot on every charter.
In addition, our guests can choose to have a private chef onboard to prepare a Five Star Barbecue with endless possibilities that include surf and turf, fresh fish, juicy hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken breast, shrimp, corn on the cob, as well as an array of tasty side dishes. Decadent desserts are available for your very own seaside barbecue Grand Cayman-style.
Or, our guests can choose to go to ashore to any number of beachfront restaurants, including Kaibo. This beachfront restaurant is “part thatched tiki bar, part breezy California cool, and a generous dose of Caribbean beach chic”. If you go Upstairs at Kaibo, you’ll find a “regal and refined restaurant” with an unparalleled view “making for the perfect island waterfront dining experience”. Kaibo also hosts Luna Del Mar, a lively dinner on the beachfront that features 9 dishes to share, DJ and paper lanterns, on Fridays nearest the full moon. Kaibo is a Grand Cayman must-do!
